WHAT IS USUI SHIKI RYOHO REIKI

Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki is a particular form of energetic, hands-on-healing brought forward by Mikao Usui. 

 

The word Reiki comprises two Japanese words - Rei and Ki.  Roughly, these two words Rei, means universal and Ki, life force energy.  Together Reiki is translated to be Universal life force energy.

HOW DOES REIKI WORK

Reiki is universal life force energy and therefore flows freely all around and through us.  It permeates and flows through our aura, body, chakras, meridians and nadis. It nourishes our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies and animates all living things.  The life force energy nourishes the organs and cells of the body and supports their vital functions.

 

If the flow of life force energy is disrupted, it causes blockages and sets the stage for dis-ease in the body, mind or emotions by decreasing the vibrational frequency of the body.   Blockages causes issues in the organs, muscles, tissues and/or cells of the body.  When Reiki is applied to the energy field of the body, it begins to dissipates the blockages and restores life force flow.

REIKI TREATMENT

A typical treatment is a provided by someone who has been attuned by a Reiki Master to receive and channel the Reiki energy.  Recipients receive the treatment fully clothed while lying of a massage table or sitting in a chair.  The practitioner administers the Reiki energy to the recipient through their hands. The hands can be placed either on or near the body, using a series of hand placements. Once the Reiki energy begins to flow, it goes to where it is needed.  Recipients become very relaxed and some fall asleep. Typically recipients rebort feeling rejuvenated. Treatments can last from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the need of the recipient.

Reiki treatments can never cause harm as they use universal life force energy.  Practitioners serve only as a channel of the energy.  The energy does the work and goes exactly where it is needed.
